Sports Therapist demonstrates hip stabilisation exercise

Abi, one of our Sports Therapists, demonstrates a 'clam shell'. This exercise works the glute medius - one of the gluteal muscles really important for hip stabilisation.

This exercise is good for:

- hip stability

- hip and knee strength

- balance

- to prevent fatigue when walking

Caution: do not continue with the exercise if you get any pain and contact a health professional for advice.

If you feel you would benefit from seeing Abi for either Sports Therapy or for a Sports/Deep Tissue Massage you can contact us and we would be happy to schedule you an appointment. Note: you do not have to be 'sporty' to benefit from a Deep Tissue Massage.

Deep Tissue Massages offer benefits including:

- Releases muscle tension

- Improves range of motiion or movement

- Increases circulation/improve blood flow

- Helps with chronic pain, stress and/or tension.
