Rolled Shoulders? Improve your posture with our Monday Move
Naz, Senior Physiotherapist, is demonstrating an exercise for rolled shoulders. All you need is a wall or door and a few minutes away from whatever task you are doing.
Our Monday Motivational Move will stretch out your pectoral muscles (chest) and strengthen the scapula and upper back muscles. If you do this regularly throughout the day it will definitely help with your posture. Why not do this exercise eg. while you are waiting for the kettle to boil, or during the tv adverts, or after using your laptop.
Hold the position for 10 seconds and repeat 6-8 times, 2 to 3 times a day.
You should not get any pain doing this exercise. If you do, stop and seek advice from a health professional.
